Smoky Ridge Cottage

Smoky Ridge Cottage

he American Bungalow has become associated with American vacation architecture for a variety of reasons.  Its informal, rustic style incorporating local building materials of wood and stone is suitable for natural settings where Americans like to relax and enjoy the outdoors.  The Adirondack style lent itself to this use and became associated with mountainous areas.

Our 2,445 square foot Smoky Ridge Cottage is the perfect, small retreat for those mountain escapes.  Its rustic appeal, quaint detailing and efficient use of space make it an ideal vacation home or permanent house that makes you feel like you're on vacation!

The efficient yet open feeling of this cottage is surprising the moment you enter.  A high foyer looks through to the great room with fireplace.  Just to the left, an open kitchen/dining area is great for socializing.  A side entrance by the laundry provides convenient access directly to the kitchen from the outside.  Tucked off to one side, the guest room and bath has privacy and convenience.  On the other side of the house just off the foyer, the master bedroom and bath is definitely a suite with large master bath with shower, tub and walk-in closet.  Private access to the terrace just off the master bedroom offers all the conveniences for vacation living.

A stair off the kitchen leads upstairs to a loft area with large dormer window. This would be a perfect space for an office, media room or extra bedroom for that occasional guest or children.
